What BibleLang Greek is built on, and what it is (and isn't).

🔒 Your text stays on your device. Passage input, deck generation, and reader-sheet generation all run locally in your browser. The passage text is never sent to any server. Only the license key is checked online at unlock.

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (GoatCounter) to count which features are used — no cookies, no personal data, and never your passage text.

Greek text	SBLGNT — The Greek New Testament: SBL Edition (Michael W. Holmes, ed.). Free for study, research, and creation of resources. Licensed CC BY 4.0.
Morphology	MorphGNT / SBLGNT — morphological analysis (part of speech, parsing) combined with the SBLGNT text. Morphology & lemma data licensed CC BY-SA 3.0.
Glosses (English)	Dodson Greek Lexicon — a concise lexicon compiled from public-domain sources. Open license.
Frequency	New-Testament occurrence counts computed from the MorphGNT/SBLGNT lemma data above.

Important limitations

This is a study aid for reading preparation, not a scholarly lexicon. It does not replace BDAG, LSJ, or a full grammar.
Text edition: the Greek is the SBLGNT. It may differ in places from NA28 / UBS5. Check a critical edition for textual decisions.
Glosses are concise (Dodson-based) — a starting sense for the passage, not the full semantic range. Confirm nuance in a full lexicon.
Parsing conventions are presented in selectable presets (e.g. Seminary / International). Traditions and instructors differ; pick the notation your course uses.
Auto-generated output should be reviewed before use in teaching or publication.

Found a parsing or gloss issue? That matters to us — please report it via the feedback link so we can correct it. Accuracy for this audience is the whole point.
